ITP have been involved in some of the biggest industry projects in the market
place, designing and delivering a range of innovative technology led solutions to
clients.
ITP have looked after all technology projects for the Highlands and Islands Airports
for around 6 years. During this time, we have been involved in various upgrades
as well as introducing new technology to the various departments including an Intranet
for the accounts department. This has also included various application developments that have
taken place over the years.
ITP were approached by Tulloch group in Inverness to plan and upgrade the network
from Microsoft Windows NT4 to Microsoft Windows 2003. This would have to be completed
with nearly little to no down time for the
users at every location. With Tullochs having locations spanning over the Highlands
and Islands areas as well as Glasgow and London, ITP put forward a project plan
and started implementation in January 2005. When the project came to a close, ITP
had implemented a solid Microsoft Windows 2003 infrastructure with little or no down time
to the users over all locations.
In 2002 Highlands and Islands Enterprise identified the need to stimulate demand
for broadband services to a level where the HIE network and partner local government
networks could justify the significant investment required to convert exchanges.
The task was to inform the business community of why broadband was crucial as a
utility service, whilst also informing the wider population of its benefits and
most importantly, to stimulate registration of interest from a starting point of
essentially zero. Key members of the ITP consortium were involved in:
- Putting an appropriate team together to expedite the remit
- Planning how to achieve outcomes
- Operationalising multi-group accomplices
- Project managing four campaigns that supplied front-end communications
(including television, press and local radio) and back-end activities
(call-centre and linked database) to provide information and increase target action.
Macgregor Industrial Suppliers (MIS), Inverness, won the Microsoft
Award for Innovation at the 2006 SCDI convention. MIS were recommended to Microsoft
by ITP Solutions, who are the area’s first Gold Accredited Microsoft Partner. ITP
Solutions successfully designed, scoped and installed an e-shop (consisting of an
integrated supply side mechanism as integrated into accountancy software).
